Chapters 1-5 Twilight Re-Read Along Questions

Below are the answers to my questions for the first five chapters of The Twilight Re-Read Along!

1. Have you ever had to start over in a new place, like Bella did in Forks? This new place could be a school, job, or town... just something with a new setting. How easy or difficult was this for you?
I have started over many, many times.  It's always disorienting finding your place in society, especially in Bella's case where society is small and unaccepting.  I am in the military, so moving is second nature, as well as not fully unpacking in case you get orders to move right away.  You also try to make friends as fast as possible, so that you don't lose each other through the years and across the continents.

2. Do you picture the actors from the movie as the characters in the book while you are reading?
I do not picture the actors at all from the movies.  Re-reading the book after seeing the movies does lend a little character bleed-over, but my imagination has strength enough to rebuild my memories of what I thought Bella and Edward looked like in my head before someone decided Rob and Kristin were the faces of the characters.

3. What are your first thoughts on meeting Edward in Bella’s Biology class? At first he was annoyed by her presence, but then after a week away he returns & finds him self very interested in her. Do you think this helped or hindered the storyline?
I think he was so obvious with his emotions towards Bella, that she couldn't have missed his reaction to her.  However, when his mood flips, it does lend a bit of mystery to why he was acting that way before, and why he's changed now.  Though to some that sort of up and down can throw a person off.  I think it helped the story line because it introduced more conflict.

4. Out of the secondary characters Bella meets at school, who is your favorite and why? (I am referring to the humans, not the vampires in this question)

I like Mike.  He's always there for Bella, even when she dejects him, and he's cheery and upbeat - something that Bella could use more of in her little somber world.

5. There is a lot of dialogue between Edward and Bella in these first few chapters that I feel played a major role in developing their relationship. What are some of your favorite quotes? or moments?
"Of course he wasn't interesting in me, I tthought angrily,  my eyes stinging - a delayed reaction to the onions.  I wasn't interesting. And he was.  Interesting...and brilliant...and mysterious...and perfect...and beautiful...and possibly able to lift full-sized vans with one hand."  It shows how enamored she is with Edward, how she puts him on a pedestal almost right away.  This shows the deep plunge she took so quickly into loving Edward, when there was nothing in her world to love.  A couple other things are when she describes his voice as "quiet and musical" and when "his voice melted like honey"  Absolutely vivid images.  Loved it.

Sorry I was so late on the response, a week behind - bad bad bad me!  But so it is, and it is posted, and I shall continue reading the next chapters to prepare for the end of this week's questions!

Happy Reading (Re-Reading) !!!
